An Eventful Day
A nice sunny, hot, eventful day!
Well, James turned up eventually, after we all went round to collect him from home... he has broadband, the room is now a lot tidier and looks far better than it did a few weeks ago, and Marie was hogging the computer... the curse of WinMX strikes again! Especially now she can get the songs at 6kbs from cable users... Shame that he had to totally redo the computer when something corrupted an inportant file, but these things happen!
On returning home I set up my computer and found that on looking out the window there was a lot of smoke, and approaching fire engines... y'see, the garage used by the mill a street away had been set alight, and was burning quite happily in the summer air... and also (bu not linked) a big hole has opened up in the street a few doors down where some work was carried out a few months ago... only the hole is much deeper than was dug back then, and wider... and might even give way more... Oh, the joys of living above mineshafts...
