Thank God It's Fri - uh - Saturday!
Actually, this week hasn't been too bad - boring, dull, plodding, annoying, but not bad. The weather has cooled a little so its not baking hot all the time, which is nice.
Online its been interesting, though. Over at Newgrounds yesterday was Clock Day, which means that every member of the Clock Crew have made animations and posted. So it's been busy. The Clock Crew of course are ruled by Strawberry Clock (who was the worst animator on the net, until the Lock Crew surfaced recently in an attempt to take the crown of the King of the Portal - don't worry, it's a long complicated story!) and some hate them, but personally, I think that the Crew contains some of the best animators out there (though many add a 'clock' to their names and try to join...) as well as the worst. I even have a brief tribute to SBC's first flash in Butterfly when it is finished... pop to Newgrounds and check the Portal today, or the Clock Crew side of the site... Glory be to B and SBC is our King!
If you have the bandwidth, check out Colonial Marines: Elite Force here. It's a home-made cgi project set in the Aliens vs Predator universe. The trailers look stunning (not quite up to the level of the The Hunt or upcoming Code: Guardian from CeeGee, but still stunning - looks very like Starship Troopers, which can't be bad!), and the story should be told in 3 parts - I'm downloading the hi-res version of Part One now, so I may report later.
The big thing for me is transferring all the Badgers Moveable Type stuff from .com to .co.uk this afternoon. I have to correct all the links to files at Demon so they point to the right place and then make sure it all works properly. Then I have to put up the redirect at Demon (though most people who come here (and there are some) will hopefully have grasped the change of location! This means I can then get down to the proper site - as mentioned above, since getting the mp3 of Butterfly (China Power Mix) again I have felt ready to start again, and after Clock Day yesterday, I know I can get back into the Flash community... and I have much to show you...
